Carnelian

Structure: A red, orange, or amber variety or type of Chalcedony which is a variety of Quartz. Quartz is a chemical compound consisting of one part silicon and two parts oxygen. It is silicon dioxide (SiO2).


Carnelian grounds and anchors us in the present reality. A stabilizing crystal with high energy is great for restoring vitality and motivation and for stimulating creativity, courage, and action. It also has the ability to clean other stones.

Psychologically it imparts an acceptance of the cycle of life and removes the fear of death. It gives courage, promotes positive life choices, dispels apathy, and motivates for success in business and other matters. Carnelian is useful for overcoming abuse of any kind. Helps us to trust ourselves and our perceptions.



Emotionally, Carnelian is a powerful protector against envy, rage, it calms anger and banishes emotional negativity replacing it with love for life.


Carnelian is the crystal of the life force and vitality, so it influences female reproductive organs and increases fertility. It helps with overcoming frigidity and impotence, lower back problems, rheumatism, arthritis, neuralgia, and depression. Carnelian improves the absorption of vitamins and minerals and ensures a good supply of blood to organs and tissues. It’s excellent support in detoxifying from alcohol or other drugs, breaking negative or hurtful physical habits.


The saying, »God helps those that help themselves«, speaks to this energy of action. Another aspect of the energy of Carnelian is its ability to strengthen and fortify the physical body, enhancing the flow of life force energy, and it's expression through physical vitality.
