Structure: Amethyst is a member of a quartz family. Quartz is a chemical compound consisting of one part silicon and two parts oxygen. It is silicon dioxide (SiO2).
Amethyst is an extremely powerful and protective crystal with a high spiritual vibration, it guards against psychological attacks, transmuting the energy into love. It blocks geopathic stress and negative environmental energies. Its serenity enhances higher states of consciousness and meditation. When we meditate it turns thoughts away from the mundane into tranquility and deeper understanding. Mentally, it helps us feel less scattered, more focused, and in control of our competences. It enhances the assimilation of new ideas and connects cause with effect. It facilitates the decision-making process, bringing in common sense and spiritual insights and putting decisions and insights into practice.
Amethyst balances out highs and lows, promoting emotional centering. It dispels anger, rage, fear, and anxiety, alleviates sadness and grief.
Amethyst boosts the production of hormones and tunes the endocrine system and metabolism. It’s an excellent cleanser for the blood and it relieves physical, emotional or psychological pain, eases headaches, reduces bruising, injuries, and treats hearing disorders. It heals diseases of the lung and respiratory and digestive tract. It’s beneficial for the intestines, regulating flora, removing parasites, and encouraging reabsorption of water. It treats insomnia and brings restful sleep.
Amethyst is the Ally that represents and embodies Divine Connection. We cultivate our connection to the Divine by acknowledging and acting upon the guidance that we are given by our higher voices. Amethyst reminds one that asking for Divine guidance is only the first step. Trusting one’s guidance enough to act upon it is the crucial next step that many of us do not follow through.
